Description
Photograph of a band marching in the Rose Parade in Pasadena, ca.1926. A large band, possibly the Freemasons or Shriners, march in six files wearing fez hats while spectators watch on either side of Colorado Street. Farther back, men in lightly-colored robes walk alongside a float which reads "De Molay". Still farther back, three men carry a banner which reads "Knights of Pythias". Commerical highrises line the street to either side. Legible signs from left to right include: "Citizens Savings Bank, Commercial Savings", "Dentist", "New Home of the California Security and Loan Corporation", "New Home of [...] The Boy's Shop", "[...] Book Shop", "Hancock Music Co.", "Newport", "Cheeri-O Shoppe", "Whitford's Florists", "Fred T. Huggins Co." and "Hertel's".
