Photograph caption dated April 24, 1947 reads, "Paul E. Grace, agriculture teacher at the North Hollywood High school gives Ebony a haircut in preparation for a show, sponsored by Sears at Los Angeles Saturday. Ebony is an eight month old Angus steer, one of two to be entered by student Don Kane, shown at right. The exhibit is open to Future Farmers of America."
