Photograph caption date stamped May 29, 1964 reads "Bob Skemp of Van Nuys High pulls up during the rope climb Thursday at the western division city gymnastics prelims at North Hollywood High School. Skemp, favored to take the 'hemp' title in the upcoming city finals, reached the metal disk in 3.0 for a win yesterday."
