Description
Mildred's life has always involved horses. Her whole life revolved around her horses. Even today (February, 2014) she still has horses on her seventeen acre ranch in Decker Canyon. Mildred will be 94 years old in May, 2014. She is the last of the pioneers of old Malibu. She first lived in Malibu in the Yerba Buena area in 1925. By 1926 and 1927, her parents, Percy Meek and Rose Meek became the caretakers of the Salsbury Ranch, later known as Mesa Ranch. Today, it is the Leo Carrillo State Park.
