Photograph caption dated April 27, 1981 reads, "This motorcycle and drill team that performed was only one of the various modes of transportation from Los Angeles' present and past that trucked, or in some cases, ambled down Spring Street from 7th to Temple streets. The event was the official L.A. Bicentennial '200 Years of Transportation on Parade.' Celebrities and community leaders rode in all kinds of contraptions used for transportation in the city's 200 years. The vehicles included an 1800 Conestoga wagon, a Studebaker Izzer (the last horse-drawn vehicle) the Model A and T cars and modern automobiles."
