Kashnor notes, "An interesting map of the North-West, showing the discoveries of the Russians in Alaska, with the furthest South of Tcherikov in 1741 at the 52nd degree." References from Rosenthal. Two cartouches, one for French title right, one for Latin title left. Four spherical view submaps, one Arctic Polar, one Antarctic Polar, one centered on Nuremburg, one centered on the Antipodes of Nuremburg. Two additional views of earth as illuminated in summer and winter. Prime meridian: Ferro. Relief: pictorial. Graphic Scale: No. Projection: Dual Hemisphere. Printing Process: Copper engraving.
