Photograph caption reads: "The trek is over. The first 3 riders in the Great Alaska Bike Trek cross the finish line at the H.M.S. Queen Mary in Long Beach". The 4,400-mile trip was organized by the Mental Health Association to raise funds for its chapters in Canada and the U.S. The cyclists, 14 men and 10 women, left Anchorage June 11. The first cyclist to cross the finish line was 27-year-old Nancy Baker of Long Beach. Photograph dated: Aug. 30, 1982.
