Republican mural, Ardoyne Road, Ardoyne, North Belfast, 2001. Mural draws parallel between the Civil Rights struggle in the USA, specifically the desegregation of schools in Little Rock Arkansas in 1957, and the right of Catholic schoolchildren at to walk to Holy Cross primary school through a Protestant area. Detail: right panel, screaming child with policeman in riot gear in background, 'Ardoyne, 01', on right of image, 'Ugly' face of sectarianism. Shopfront, ''the Irish News' (local newspaper).
