Photograph caption dated September 15, 1959 reads "Officials break ground for new headuarters (sic) for International Guiding Eyes, Inc., at 5435 Denny Ave., North Hollywood. Costing $50,000, center will double capacity for training seeing eye dogs for blind. Center is sponsored by International Association of Machinists District Lodge 727. From left are Richard Harden and William H. Lyneis, trustees; John Foote, vice president; H. A. Cooksey, president; Charles E. Somers, executive secretary, and A. S. Evers, general manager."
