Photograph of a worker floating street concrete surface with a long handled float until its initial set, [s.d.]. At center, a man in a hat useds a flat plank attached to a long pole to smooth the surface of the concrete until its initial set, as was required by Los Angeles specifications. In the background, two pedestrians look on from a nearby shop front. An automobile can be seen both at the left and the right of the shop. In the right distance, a two-story boarding house can be seen. Photoprint reads "Wells & Brssler, contractors" as well as "Contractors and Engineers' Monthly. 443 Fourth Ave. New York".
