Photograph of aerial view of flooded area of Verdugo Wash, showing damaged bridge, Glendale, 1938. In the background at center, a long bridge or set of tracks can be seen extending from the far left to the right. The bridge is heavily damaged at its center with debris sitting at its base. Around the damaged section of the bridge and further to the right, large collections of dried dirt or water can be seen. To the left in the foreground, , large buildings sit adjacent to a wide road near the bridge. In the background at left, a large group of homes can be seen in the basin of a mountain. To the far right, large city blocks are visible alongside the base of the mountain. In the extreme foreground at right, the wing of the plane can be seen.
