Description
This image was originally part of a California State Library photographic history project documenting the daily lives and historical, political, and cultural contributions of California's diverse communities. On June 12, 1999, Long Beach residents donated to the Long Beach Public Library 398 family and personal photographs as part of this ongoing statewide project. Pictured here is a small boy dressed in a blue suit and matching bowtie. The donor's notes with this image state that he is Angel Olmos, who became a pediatrician. He was born at UCLA Medical Center, and his mother named him Angel after the "City of Angels." Both mother and son are physicians who now live in Mexico City. DATE NOTES: Circa 1968. ORIG.
