Photograph caption dated March 9, 1957 reads "Policeman bends over Salvador Arredondo, 26, of 11589 Amboy St., San Fernando, shortly after he was beaten up and knocked out by two thugs in front of market at Chatsworth street and Sepulveda boulevard. Strong-arm men took victim's wallet containing $100 and fled. Arredondo suffered contusion and bloody nose."
