Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph article dated November 15, 1955 partially reads, "The Valley's ultra-modern $162,800 co-ordinated traffic signal system began operating today along a heavily traveled 11-mile stretch of Ventura boulevard between Vineland avenue in North Hollywood and Corbin avenue in Tarzana...the system was turned on at 9 a.m. today at a ceremony at Ventura boulevard and Orion avenue. Mayor Norris Poulson headed a large delegation of city officials which participated in the ceremony, and the several communities along the route were represented by chamber of commerce officers."
