The Western Exhibit Center was later demolished and replaced with the Heritage Village and the Village housing development. Photograph caption dated March 5, 1964 reads, "Nutty robot and friend - Industrial Fair Queen Judy Jones makes friends with a nutty robot, mechanical creature built by the Lockheed Aircraft Co. Both Miss Jones and the robot are adding their particular type of Southland glamour to the first Los Angeles Industrial Fair and Congress, scheduled to continue attracting visitors until Friday." The Western Exhibit Center in Commerce is housing the three-day event.
