Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph caption dated September 25, 1962 reads "Mrs. Bazell reads notice to Mrs. Roth, Mrs. Fursman and Arlene." The article partially reads "The family of Pvt. Frank D. Bazell, one of 49 known survivors of an air crash in the North Atlantic, waited today in their Van Nuys home for information about his condition." Mrs. Bazell, the soldier's mother, is pictured with his grandmother, sister, and niece. Pvt. Bazell was slightly injured.
