Photograph was edited for publication purposes In the 1930s, Arglee Green established the Christ Faith Mission Mountain Home, a ministry dedicated to helping indigent families who found refuge there. Mrs. Green died in 1964, and the site is still rented out as a non-denominational religious retreat. Photograph caption dated June 12, 1961 reads "Harry Clapp, how old? Bell ringer needs clothes." The article partially reads "A sign along Highway 6, 26 miles northeast of San Fernando spins in the breeze. As it turns one side is visible : 'He Knoweth.' In a moment the other side shows : 'He careth.' The words on the sign express the Christian philosophy of 92-year old Mrs. Arglee Green, matriarch of the Christ Faith Mission." The mission is located in Acton, California.; See images #00125716 through #00125717 for all photos in this series.
