Cf. photo no. 1653. -- Paul Otto Hennig (1857-1928) became a missionary of the Herrnhuter Brüdergemeine in South Africa after he had married Elsbeth Gemuseus in 1891. There he serves as head of the church assembly, superintendent and also as chairman of the German mission directorate from 1906 onwards. He visited East Africa in 1905/06.
