Stoney Point was designated a Los Angeles Historic and Cultural Monument in 1974 and is part of the Los Angeles City Park system.
Photograph caption dated July 15, 1965 reads "Giant boulders on Stony (sic) Point in Chatsworth bear scars of vandals' 'art work.' Area will be washed in a massive 'Clean Up Stony Point' campaign sponsored by Chatsworth Chamber of Commerce."; See images #00132226 through #00132227 for all photos in this series.
