Description
A terracotta beaked pitcher with intricately formed handle culminating in small animal head extending from spout, hand decorated in red slip in panels of open pointed arches containing diagrammatic form of pseudo-Pommee cross, inter-divisional space between arches filled with painted "herring bone" or "comb" patterns and third design motif beneath handle in form of a circle in very good condition, with repaired spout and large chip still missing and slightly damages decorated on left side.
