Daily activity on wharf in Alexandria, Virginia, including horses, horse-drawn wagons, men working and one woman in a white dress observing activity. There are a few ships docked and three are sailing down the river. Title on mount: Alex Wharf. Handwritten in upper left corner: No. 27.
