Photograph caption dated February 26, 1963 reads "Valley bowler Bev Polis gets set for her first shot, while defending all-events champion Jackie Kjorlien gets ready on deck in the first squad of the San Fernando Valley Women's Bowling Association city tournament at Corbin Bowl. Action will continue for three weekends with 2,010 gals scheduled to compete." Corbin Bowl is in Tarzana.
