2008-3245 IN PHOTOGRAPH ALBUM: **F869.S9 S79 1920z, pg. 23. Plates in: Sutter Basin Company photograph album : irrigated river bottom lands. Photographs marked "McCurry Foto Co." in lower right corner. In foreground is country road with framed wire gate leading towards the house in the background; between gate and arching over the path to the right side of the house on the left is a grape arbor; on right side of the path is a peach orchard; in the middle of the background stands a huge tree, possibly an oak. "17171-V" -- lower left corner. Sutter Basin Company developed and sold land in Sutter County as part of Sutter Basin Project. Irrigation system of pumping stations, canals, etc. was owned by Sutter Mutual Water Company. Water Company operated on co-operative basis with one share of stock attached to each acre land in Sutter Basin Project. $ Reproduced in: California gold : Sutter Basin Company.
