Description
Exterior view of the front of Cahuenga Branch Library, located at 4591 Santa Monica Boulevard. It was built with a $35,000 grant from Andrew Carnegie. Architect C.H. Russel designed this Italian Renaissance style building, which, at the time it opened in 1916, was intended to serve a community of workers in the then nearby orange and avocado groves and wheat fields.
