Description
Black and white illustrated carnations are interwoven among the six circular photographs of "Hats for Early Spring," numbered 1 through 6. The top hat on the left, number 1, and the top hat on the right, number 4, are both decorated with white feathers around the brims, and the two women wear white boas as well. The center two hats feature turned up brims. The one on the left, number 2, is shown in side view, and has sprays of white flowers above and below the brim. The hat at the right, number 5, shown in back view, is trimmed with black ribbon, and has ruched white ribbon in bands. A perky double bow at the back, above a fall of ruching, and twined velvet ribbon around the brim creates the decoration. The hat at the bottom left, number 3, is a wide brimmed straw trimmed with a profusion of large white roses. The hat at the bottom right, number 6, has a turned up striped brim, and trimming of white net poufs and egret feathers.
