Description
East of Pine Avenue Pier, two people drive a two-wheeled, horsedrawn pony cart through the shallow surf along the beach. Bathers play in the surf around them. The pier and a two-masted sailboat are visible in the background. Everything in the image is shown darkly silhouetted against the bright light over the ocean in the background. DATE NOTES: Circa 1898 noted on image back. ORIG. IMAGE: 8" x 10" B&W matte reprint of much older image; location unknown. Duplicate images not digitized: LBPL_8575, and LBPL_0503.
