Description
This is a zine using Leah Yael Levy's template. Levy facilitated a workshop on zine-making as part of the Santa Rosa Zine Fest, which I co-created. I finally found the time to make my own zine months later. It is a reflection on nearly one year of social distancing. I realized I was procrastinating drawing a zine, but then felt inspired by the idea of just building it online in Canva, where I could paste in the photos that spoke to me, rather than drawing based on them. It was emotional to look back at a year of photos stored on my computer and to think about the stories they tell. It felt zine-y to not edit heavily, but as a result, I feel like I'm submitting something pretty raw and vulnerable.
