Description
Used in the Exhibit: Play by Play - A Century of L.A. Sports Photography, 1889-1989
A product of Montebello High, Jack Kramer dominated the amateur circuit after World War II, then parlayed that success as a player-promoter in the professional ranks. Later, he helped design and market the multi-million-selling "Jack Kramer" model rackets before forging an alliance between amateurs and professionals to create the "open era" of tennis.
