Designed by Meyer & Holler, the California Theatre was built in 1923. It remained a movie theater until a fire in 1977 damaged the structure. As of 2009, the building still stands in a greatly modified state.
Exterior view of the United Artists Theater, located at 235 W. Third Street in Pomona. This is the former California Theatre when it was under the management of United Artists Corporation and a Spanish language movie house. Photograph dated February, 1970.
