Description
Photograph of a window and paintings at the side altar of Mission Santa Inez, ca.1900. The wall of the side altar is intricately painted with designs. There is a six-paned window high in the middle under a small arch. Under the window in a wall niche with a shell-like top, stands a statue of the Virgin Mary holding an infant. Another statue (of an angel or Saint Inez?) holding an open book stands below this figure. Three framed paintings hang on the wall, two on the left and one on the lower right. The lower left painting is of a woman wearing a crown (the Virgin Mary?). Two altar candlesticks and a crucifix on a pole between the candlesticks sit on a small stand at right.
