NIGHT CABLE SPINNING - Under powerful arc lights, working night and day, cable spinners are laying the silvery strands of wire connecting San Francisco to Yerba Buena Island for the west half of the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge. Chief Engineer C. H. Purcell has ordered a twenty-four-hour day work wherever possible so that the bridge can be opened to traffic by November 1936.
