Photograph caption dated September 15, 1958 reads, "Chris Zimmer, 16, left, of Van Nuys and Sandy Costigane check into supplies in huge library at Monroe. School cost more than $4,000,000 to build, additional thousands to equip. Teaching staff of 78 are all volunteers, selected by principal. It is first new high school to open in Valley since Reseda High School was opened three years ago." See images 00154286 through 00154288 for all photos in this series.
