Welsh band, The Alarm teamed up with MTV, I.R.S. Records, and UCLA's Campus Events to perform a free concert on April 12, 1986. This historic show, named "Spirit of '86", was one of the first ever live satellite broadcasts on TV, and was one of the early live concerts shown on MTV. An estimated crowd of 25,000 fans turned out for this free concert.
