Description
Annual “Polar Bear” Swim, New Years Day, 1959 at Treasure Island [now the Montage Resort]. The swim was held each year on January 1st, no matter how cold the water was. This was Lorrin [Whitey] Harrison’s canoe which they used to dive for abalone at Doheny State Beach.
