Photograph of a procession of orphan girls with Dominican sisters at Mission San Jose, 1904. More than fifty little orphan girls are visible standing on a wide dirt path on the well-manicured mission grounds. Several of the girls hold banners. About seven Dominican sisters can be seen standing at the front of or the back of the line. Legible banners read: "Mater salva"..., "Mater [...]rissima", "Mater intema"..., "Vas insigne devotion", "Mater inviolata", "Regina sine lobe concepto, ora pro nobis".
