San Fernando Valley State College later became California State University, Northridge. Photograph caption dated July 5, 1965 reads, "Scholarship winners from the Valley are starting their third week of summer classes in fine arts, ceramics and methods and materials sponsored by the 31st District PTA. In methods and materials class, Jeff Morgan, 14, of Panorama City, first picture works with plaster. David Korodkin, 13, of Reseda, second picture, empties his plaster. Designing objects with the plaster are, third picture, Melinda Medley, 14, left, and Louise Merkley, 13, both of Northridge. The classes being held in the Fine Arts Building of Valley State College, Northridge under the direction of Tom Trammel, art department chairman. Climax to the classes will be an open house from 7:30 to 10 p.m. Thursday in the gallery and patio of the Fine Arts Building, Etiwanda Avenue and Nordoff Street, Northridge. The display of students' works will also be open to the public from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and from 9:30 a.m. to noon Saturday."; See images #00117407 through #00117409 for all photos in this series.
