Description
This Aug. 11, 1964, photograph shows a fire-gutted home at 229 and 231 O St. The blackened and hollowed structure is overgrown with trees, bushes and grass. Vacant at the time of the fire, the Victorian-style home was built before 1895. To the far left of the photograph, a man stands in front of a neighboring home, looking toward the camera. The Crocker Art Gallery is just across the street at 216 O St.
