Photograph caption dated March 8, 1963 reads, "That's what Mrs. Paul H. Parker, conservation chairman of the Northridge Women's Club, is doing. On hand to help her are R. J. Laufenberg, Northridge planter, left, and Bob Twitchell, who donated the tree. The planting ceremony was in advance of Northridge's Beautiful Week set for April 1 to 7 during which time the community's civic groups will work to make Northridge a prettier place to live."
