Photograph caption dated July 2, 1963 reads, "One of the first deliveries made at Bill Heath Ford, under the expanded truck department, included a unit purchased by Harold Harrison, right, from Joe Calagna, truck manager. The North Hollywood Ford agency is specializing in big units like the specially equipped F-1000 with a 16-ton payload capacity, according to general manager Jim Smith. Equipped with retractable trailing axles and special aluminum body and wheels, truck allows for more payload capacity. Future plans call for expanded truck service facilities to handle the increased heavy-duty truck business."
