Photograph of an aerial view of a flooding Los Angeles River at a Southern Pacific Railroad bridge near Elysian Park, 1938. At center, the river runs from left downward to the right edge of the image. Below the river, residential blocks can be seen, and forking through the center, a highway splits into two distinct branches which span the river. The far bank of the river appears mountainous, although more residential buildings can be seen to the right. Photoprint reads: "This photograph is loaned to you. Please return to: Illustrator. L.A.
