Description
Aerial photo of William Land Park at Eleventh Ave facing southeast. You can see the center section of this park, which holds walking paths and athletics fields. The baseball diamond on the bottom left is the Number 1 Diamond, renamed to Doc Oliver Field in 1979 after the late Alfred A. “Doc” Oliver. To the upper left is the golf course, opened in 1924 and the first golf course in Sacramento. Taken circa 1920 by Edwin Bruins, printed in 1941.
