Description
After Marilyn Monroe died, her remains were sent to the Westwood Village Mortuary (shown here). The circumstances of her death required that the body be transferred to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner for examination. Photograph caption reads, "Miss Monroe's body is wheeled out of the funeral home and taken to Coroner's office. Photograph dated August 6, 1962.
