Photograph article dated December 1, 1964 partially reads, "Ranching as most people think of it is no more. Gone are the old bunk houses, gone are the large ranch kitchens with their long oil-cloth covered tables and gone are the dust covered ranch hands who'd clump in for a hearty noon meal cooked by the rancher's wife. Today the rancher's wife has been liberated from the sulky, black coal and wood stove. Mrs. Harland Brown, wife of ranch manager of the Thousand Oaks Glenmorr Cattle Company, uses the old refurbished stove in a corner of their modern sun-dipped hilltop home as a conversational piece." Photograph caption reads, "Ranch manager Harland Brown checks engine of ranch tractor inside metal shed."; See images #00131903 through #00131905 for all photos in this series.
