Photographic portrait of Miss Mary Josephine Potter at her fifty-seventh birthday celebration, May 22, 1934. The woman can be seen standing at left turned towards the right. She is holding an open book near her waist, and can be seen wearing a long coat over a lace-decorated dress and has a large necklace. She is also wearing a broad-brimmed hat. Her hair is short and dark and is curled near her ears. She seems to be smiling. Her mother was Senora Maria Josepha Yorba.
