Photograph caption dated September 1, 1956 reads "A familiar figure to Valley voters is Mrs. Dollie Reed, seated right, for 11 years a registrar of voters, shown as she signs up Mrs. Leona M. Phillips of Van Nuys so Mrs. Phillips can vote at the next general election. Left is Doreen Phillips, 11. Mrs. Reed's booth at the Valley Fair is in the Horticulture Building." The fair is held annually at Devonshire Downs in Northridge.
