Description
"The present staff of the Christian Mobile Clinic staff. From left: Dr. William Robinson
Mr. John Ngoe, interpreter
Miss Deborah Brown, R. N.
Mrs. Akon Ekong, dispenser
Miss Nancy Leslie, R. N.
Mr. Samuel Nanje, technician
and Dr. Dan Blazer." This is a group photograph of "The Christian Mobile Clinic" a ministry of Churches of Christ. The ministry began in 1969 by Drs. David Willbanks and Ken Yearwood. Four days a week they would load their British Land Rover with medicines and necessary medical equipment to treat individuals in the area surrounding Kumba. Their goal was to carry medical care to the poorest people in the area who had no access to "modern" medicine.
