"This group is composed of some 40 small village day scholars, about 20 senior, & junior teachers, eight girls, and the remainder boys ageing from 7 up to 21 or so. By the end of Aug. 1911, there are now no less than 111 boys & 22 girls boarding in our Mission Station, the numbers having been doubled in the short space of a year. The set of slides is the gift to the Kikuyu Mission of the Young Peoples Meeting at the Burgh Hall, Hillhead, of which he was for many years a member."
