Description
This photo shows the flame-scarred home of Mrs. Frank Wecht and her daughter, Mrs. Gretchen Mitchell, on Loma Alta Drive. Both women were in the house when the flames crept up in the early morning hours, but they escaped unharmed. Police braved the searing flames to arouse sleepers in the fire area. Photo dated: October 23, 1935.
