This image was part of a California State Library photographic history project documenting the daily lives and historical, political, and cultural contributions of California's diverse communities. On June 12, 1999, Long Beach residents donated to the Long Beach Public Library 398 family and personal photographs as part of this ongoing statewide project. This image pictures Clementina Vasquez, employee of the Conservation Corps of Long Beach. She is wearing the corps uniform of light blue logo polo shirt, logo jacket, and yellow hardhat. She is leaning against a white pickup truck in the background, which has the CCLB logo painted on the passenger door. Notes with this image state that Ms. Vasquez "started on the concrete crew, and then moved to the urban tree planting crew."
