Photograph article dated June 15, 1962 partially reads, "Southern California has started a new trend in construction by creating apartment buildings to convey a pre-defined kind of 'mood,'...Such a building is 'Maximes,' a 41-unit apartment at 8363 Willis Ave., Panorama City, designed to give the dweller the mood of enjoyment and excitement suggested by far-away places. Architect Lucille Raport, A.I.A., one of the few women architects who has achieved national recognition, planned 'Maximes' so that 'some may be reminded of a sidewalk cafe in France, a formal courtyard in New Orleans, a glimpse of the Gay Nineties, or an Old World coffee house,' she said."
